Not a lot of knitting going on............

I have not done a lot of knitting in the last few days. I seem to be at a lull in my projects. I am trying to not start another project until I finish my pink alpaca lace weight circular shawl that I am making for my publishers. I started another pair of socks to just have some brainless, portable knitting and I have my 2 Entrelac shawls that it seems will never get finished. I have a whole pot load of blocking to do. I want to start playing with my cameo pink Baruffa yarn. I plan on making a square shawl with it, but am waiting for my NEW needle set from Knit Picks to come in. Yes, I broke down and ordered the Harmony wood interchangeable needle set. I know I should have waited and put it on my Christmas wish list, but I had some yarn money that was burning a hole in my "handknit sweater pocket". Besides, I could not start my Baruffa shawl until I had a size 4 needle. My Denise interchangeable only goes down to a size 5. I plan on working with only one strand of Baruffa. This will be a challenge. This yarn is so soft and so thin. It has 1460 yards in only 3 1/2 ounces, somewhat like sewing thread. I, also, need to be about making my list for Christmas gifts for all my friends. Last year, I made them all socks. I realized that I had far too many friends (that is not possible) and their feet are too large!!!! This year, I plan on making them a small something, very small, but handmade.

Size 4 is awfully big for that yarn...

Yes, it is, but the one that I knit with a double strand, I used a size 8 on. I really like the webby look. I have a tendency to block severely.I always get gauge with the needle called for. I hope that a 4 will work, if not, I'll have rethink and regroup. If I get too frustrated with the yarn, I may just send it to your house and let it live with Daphne

Kay, do you think these needles are something Nancy might like for Christmas?
