What I would like to do, but can't..........

I would love to be able to clean my house. It is not that it is horrible, but I have the urge to clean and that urge does not hit me very often or often enough. I would not want anyone to come by, it is definitely not clean enough for company, friends, yes, company, no! I am not a neat freak. I do not savor cleaning. I would much rather be knitting. Right now, all I can do comfortably is knit, but I would rather be cleaning. When I am in a cleaning mood, I am like the Tasmanian devil. You had better stay out of my way. Maybe it is the New Year, maybe spring cleaning has hit me early, maybe it is all the fliers in the newspaper advertising organizing tools. I had this cleaning urge hit me in October and November, I hope this is a new thing that sticks around until I can do something about it. I would love to have this urge hit me more often than it does. I love having a clean house!!! It makes me think, "Wow God, thanks for blessing us with this great looking house! Thank you that my husband is so good at fixing things (a necessity in an old house). This house was such a mess when we bought it, but the neighborhood was great and it had great bones. My husband has replaced walls, windows, porches, cabinets, counter tops, doors. You should see my office. It has a beaded ceiling with lots of white crown molding and 2 walls are double windows that look out on our back yard. Lots of light, one of my favorite rooms in the house. I hope someday to have my "loom room" get remodeled like this. Still cannot make up my mind on flooring. Would love tile, but it is just a "loom room" and we will have to take up the old vinyl tiles. Like laminate, but the washer and water heater are back there. Time is on my side and until then, I can visualize what I want it to look like and dream.
My Lyra progress is coming along nicely. I am on Rnd 66. I hope to get to Rnd 71 today.

I would love to see your house sometime. I absolutely LOVE old houses and there is no way to make a new house look old!

Husband doesn't do cleaning, huh? Well, he sounds like a gem anyway. Just keep on with Lyra and ignore the house for a bit. You'll get better!

Husband is a great cleaner, but it is hard for me to watch him come home from working all day and do things that I should be doing. It bothers me for others to intrude upon my domain and the house is my domain. I could never stand for anyone to clean my house. I have a certain way that I like it done. Don't be moving my piles of yarn where I can't find em! You know what I mean?
