I started it Thanksgiving night and worked on it during the drive to visit my Mom the next day. I am now finished with the back medallion and the two smaller ones on either side of it. This is such a unique shawl design. I wanted to start it for New Year’s Day 2009, but could not wait. The center medallion worked up nice and quickly. The slow variegation of the Jojoland Melody is so perfect for this shawl.

While knitting this, my thoughts have been about how great a pattern this is and how uniquely structured it is. It is a marvelous design and I am highly impressed with its complexities. My hat goes off to Izzy for giving us this beauty! Thanks Joan for telling me about it!
Check out Izzy’s Japanese Feather and Fan Shawl. It is another winner. Keep up the great designing!
Knitting progress: I am finished with one of my sock from my Socks that Rock yarn and started the second one. I am still weaving on the warp of dishtowels on my loom. Mostly, I have been knitting on the above shawl.
Traveling Shawl progress--It arrived in NY, yesterday. It will be on its way to PA tomorrow. 15 States down, 35 to go! Check out our blog here.
