Spring fever, I have it sooooooo bad!

This week has given several gorgeous days and I can feel the wanderlust stirring for some roadtrip knitting. I have not knitted as much since last week. I think the spring fever has affected my knitting too, I have started several more projects. I am on a cardigan binge. I just love the sleeveless cardigan style of my Knitted Peace and Leaf Me Alone, I'm Knitting. I need to do a cotton version for spring with a spring theme.
I finished the Medium size of my Leaf Me Alone for Cindy.

I did another One Ball Shawl. This one was for my Sister-in-law, Sherry. I was knitting it the last two days that we were at the hospital with Poppy.

Here is a smaller version of my Love Affair in Lace. I like it so much that I have decided to use it as the larger size version and have finished a smaller one in Blues. See Photos below.

On Ravelry, there is a group that is called 10 Shawls in 2010. I joined it and I have already finished 7 of my 10 shawls for the year. I knitted 26 shawls last year, so 10 is nothing for me.
I seem to be enamored with cardigans and small shawls that take less than 500 yards of yarn.

It is odd not having to make the trek over to the hospital everyday and every night. I don't miss that, but it is really odd without Poppy. Really odd. I came into this family as Michael's girlfriend at the age of 15 1/2 in June of 1976. So Poppy has always been a part of my life with Michael.
It feels so surreal. Pray for our family and especially for my Michael. He was a great son to his dad and his dad was so proud of him. But Poppy was a great dad, too. It is just really odd without Poppy.............

The shawls are amazing-just above and beyond beautiful. The 'missing Poppy' will become part of you now. You won't miss him less as days go on but you will get used to always missing him if that makes sense.

I am happy to have found your designs and your blog. I too have a bad case of Spring Fever and itchy hands for casting on...but I am determined to finish my current project (which is a pair of socks getting near completion) before casting on something new. As soon as these socks are finished I want to start something lacy, a new cardigan, and another pair of socks. That should keep me busy! :-)

Please accept my condolences on your loss of a loved one. I have lost my father, as well as my father-in-law. What Delighted Hands said is very true.
