For my students, here it is.

Hi students, here is the invisible Braided Join YouTube that I told you about. I would make it a little longer than what she does. I would say that you need a join that is about 5" long when finished with the join.
By the way, you were a great group of students. I was blessed to have the opportunity to meet you and teach you. I loved getting to meet you face to face, Millymom.

Very interesting join-I have seen a split join but not braided! Thanks for posting it! (It is good to get out of your own rut and try new ideas!)

Kay, Thank you - for the link and for a great class at DFW Fiberfest. It was fun and I learned new techniques that I will use often. Winning the beautiful shawl was icing on the cake! I was thrilled to wear it to the theater that night and my husband commented on how pretty it was. Can't wait to see the doll shawl after it is blocked - which I now know how to do thanks to you!

Kay,
Thanks for posting the video, the technique was clear and one I wish I had known a long time ago. Class was so much fun at Fiberfest and I had the best time showing my husband the beading block your husband had made and my doll shawl. I hope to cast on today while everything is fresh in my mind for a real one. I have several projects going and our last child graduates from high school in May so there will be less knitting time for a bit but I will send you a picture when it is done. Your class like your blog was a real piece of God's grace for me. Thank you!
