Finished Shawl
Well, I did finally get the binding off done on the handpainted Baruffa shawl (over 800 sts). It took me a lot longer than I thought it would. Very slow, boring work. I thought I only had 8 rows on the other Baruffa, but I did not count the rows in between, so I really had 16. I am now down to the last 7 rows. This does not seem like much, but the rows are almost 650 sts per round. I hope to finish it before my local yarn store day, Tuesday. Then I will be ready to decide on the yarn for my lace shrug. Any suggestions on yarn? It needs to be a yarn that is in between sock and sport. I would really love a yarn made with bamboo, in a color that would go well with jeans, and not a solid yarn. I am off to finish the armhole pickup for the ribbing on a vest that I am making for my husband. Maybe I will finish that before bed.
