My entry in the Little Knits Trenna Yarn Shawl contest won. I think that I am still in a state of shock! I am kind of still numb. Friday was excruciating. I did not turn the computer on until the afternoon. I did not even visit the Little Knits blog and I told my Michael that I did not want a play by play of the numbers. I just could not handle the stress of it all. The fact was that it could have went any possible way. They were all perfectly lovely designs and they all deserved a first place slot. To me, the main thing this contest showcased was how lovely lace looks made with Trenna yarn. I have already ordered another colorway. This one I plan on knitting without beads. I want to be able to just melt in the knitting luxury of the yarn. Be on the look out for more of my shawl designs. I will be doing more for Little Knits. This is a win/win situation for me. I love knitting lace and designing lace, but my shawl pile runneth over. I will get to use really great yarns and design at the same time.
Thank you to everyone who voted for me, my friends because they love me and believe in me and to all others, I'm so glad you loved my shawl. I will let you know when it is available on Little Knits.
Knitting progress--I reworked the Tatamy Tweed Worsted cardigan and am now on the body. I am half way finished with the Left Front of Michael's cardigan vest.
BTW, my sister says she has me silk yarn. I cannot wait for her to get home and send it to me. I will post pics when it gets here.
