Meet the butlers. This is two of my B-day presents.
My Michael made them for me. One for his suit coat, one for my shawl (the problem is that I have 20? shawls). I really wanted one to be able to take pictures of my shawls for this blog. I have to stain them to match our dark mahogany bedroom suite. Don't they look handsome together?
I, also, got 2 bottles of my favorite lotion (Cherry Blossom) from Bath and Body Works and a prayer book called, "The Valley of Vision" a collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions. My father-in-law gave me "mad money"! My son bought me Guitar Fingerstyle cd.
This was also the weekend that I had my book signing for "I Can't Believe I'm Lace Knitting" at the CALS Knit-In. See Photos here.
This is Autumn's Glory (the triangular version) made in Malabrigo lace that I hand painted in "Kay" colors.
This is Autumn's Glory made in Margo Jones Trenna (the half hexagon version). This is Simply Autumn made in Jojoland sock weight.
Knitting Progress--I finished the Jojoland shawl, as you can see. It did block beautifully! Must get more of this yarn! I am back to working on Arkansas Diamonds. Not as into the Jaggerspun Zephyr as the Trenna. I got used to that silk sheen!

I L-O-V-E the butlers!! Way to go Michael! How many hints did you have to drop to get those made?
The shawls are all gorgeous, esp the hand painted "Kay colors". At SnB last week, one of the knitters bought some Soxx Appeal yarn for some vacation knitting. I took one look at it and thought to myself, "Oh, Kay colors".
