Busy, busy, busy...

Last Friday provided a perfect knitting opportunity. My Michael had a job site to inspect and called to ask if I wanted to come along for the ride. I grabbed my knitting eagerly! Such opportunities provide lovely knitting time. I usually take a project that I really need to finish. So my Twisted Yoke Cardi came with me. Last night I went shopping for buttons and found some lovely ones, but they did not make me sigh with satisfaction. Yarnmart has a great sellection of buttons and Lisa helped me pick out the perfect ones.
I cannot wait for it to get cold enough to wear this. I love the design and will probably wear it often.
I have a trip to Silver Dollar City in Branson planned this weekend. I will be going with 2 of my girl friends, Margie and Millie. I will have an opportunity to dress up and spin with one of my weaving buddies that has a booth there for the Fall Craftsman Festival. I will take my old fashioned outfit, pantalooms, mop cap, apron and all. My trusty Ashford Traveller will go with me. My knitting that I am taking along will be--a pair of dk weight socks, my Ozark Autumn Shawl and a Lattice Leaf Shawl that I am hoping to finish this weekend. The Lattice Leaf Shawl is for my lace knitting class in Oct.
Traveling Shawl progress--It arrived in Florida and is on its way to North Carolina! 3 States down, 47 to go! Check out our blog here.

Beautiful! I hope you have fun on your trip!

I just crocheted 2 hats for my girls. Except for some crocheting I did when I was around 10, this is the first time I have crocheted something! I can't say that the hats turned out very pretty...but it was fun making them...and all in my spare sitting time over the past couple of days...which isn't all that plentiful with 2 toddlers!

Hope to see you at church the Sunday after Thanksgiving when we vist BCLR!
