Ughhh!!! Joy! Joy! Ughhh! That has been the process of my work on my Kid's Mitered Magic Cardigan. I have remade, AGAIN, the pieces SOOOOO many times that I am sick of it. I have one more sleeve to go on Emily's and then I have to remake Sarah's. The numbers kept giving me fits. I finally got the jump on them! I did not mind, though. I was still in my squirrily knitting mood and did not want to start on something until I was sure of what to start on. I have run out of my "second sock" cases and frankly, I am sick, sick, sick of sock knitting.
Sooooooooo, I went yarn diving in my hand painted stash and am about to cast on a new shawl. It is a design that I played with last year and the ends were too pointy. But now, I need that pointiness. It will work to my advantage on this design. Someone on Ravelry was wanting to make a shawl like the one on the Tess PBS series. It crosses over your bosom and ties in the back. This will be perfect for that purpose. It is all garter and will be a perfect substitute for my brainless sock knitting. Here is a picture of the yarn.
Knitting progress: 5 fronts that did not work, 3 backs that did not work and 2 fronts and a back that did. I can't wait to show you the design. Thankfully, they do not have to be finished until close to Easter.
