Weight loss, Sophie and Crocheted Sneakers

Well, I lost 1.4 lbs this week. That brings the total of weight loss to 13.4 lbs. 11.6 More to go.
Tuesday, I had the opportunity to teach Sophie to knit. Sophie is a little girl at church that really wanted to be able to knit. I told her that when she turned 8, I would teach her. Her mom, Teresa, and sister, Maddy, came to learn, too. Here is Sophie proudly holding up her knitting.
I bought some finger weight Knit Picks Comfy to crochet these in. I think it is a really great yarn for this design. They work up fairly quickly compared to my thread ones.
These are my favorite. I love the smoky pink and brown combo. I have a skein of pistachio green, too. So, next I will do a pair in green and brown.
