Lost in the preparation

I am lost in the preparations for a special trip to celebrate our 30th anniversary. I know, the anniversary was in July. We decided to postpone the special celebrating of it for later.
I have this tendency to over-think our trips--- what do I take, what will I need, what to take to wear, what will the weather be, what shawls to take, how to narrow it down to 3 or 4 (thankfully they are less than 2 ounces a piece!), do I have enough lovely knitting packed.
I make lists and remake lists and cross off and add to.............see what I mean? And I start all this way in advance!
Then there is the getting-all-my-ducks-in-a-row for home----finishing 5 designs that are due the end of this month, knitting the models, correcting the instruction copy, proofing and reproofing, lining up book signing dates for October, getting ready for a Simple Entrelac Shawl class that I am teaching on November 3rd at Knit Unto Others in Arkadelphia, working on samples of the take-home project shawl for the knitters who take the class.
I know, I am a sick person! But I don't want to be thinking about things that I will have to come home and rush to finish when I am away. I want to think... ahhhh, I have that covered! I want to just soak up the lovely time that I am going to be spending with the precious man that God gave me for a husband.

Here are some pictures of my Simple Entrelac Shawl. It is made in Silk Garden Sock yarn. It took only 575 yards of this yummy yarn. If entrelac is still on your knitting bucket list, call Claire at Knit Unto Others and sign up for the class on November 3rd.

I am now working on 3 more, 2 in sock weight and one in some Jojoland Rhythm worsted weight.
All for now...............
However, I do want to leave you with a great post by our former youth pastor, George Lawson. I hope it comforts you and gives you a biblical perspective of our political election that is right around the corner.

Kay!

I have a question and I don't know how else to get hold of you..so here goes!

I have your Christening Collections book 3 and in it is a gown called Offset Shell. Row 6 of that pattern has got me stumped.
Can you get me out of the hole? My first grandchild will be here soon and I gotta get this done!
